Gemini Music Productions, (a Delaware Corporation), is owned and operated by New York City trumpeter Neil Balm and timpanist Jonathan Haas, and was established to do business throughout the world with its office located in New York City. Gemini Music Productions is a full service music production company that provides a wide realm of services. These services include the hiring of "first call" musicians, personnel management, budget estimating, executing union contracts for local, national and international concerts, tours, radio and TV recordings (video and audio), as well as facilitating all aspects of payroll. In 1993, Gemini Music Productions, in co-operation with Lincoln Center's Great Performers Series, produced "The Music of Frank Zappa" at Avery Fisher Hall. Since then, Gemini Music Productions has grown to become the employer, contractor and personnel manager for the New York Pops, the New York Chamber Symphony and Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival. In addition, Gemini Music Productions works on a wide array of projects with companies such as Metropolitan Entertainment, Arista and Motown Records, and with artists such as Joni Mitchell, HarryConnick Jr., Amy Grant, PDQ Bach, the Temptations and Sarah Brightman. The New York Times featured Gemini Music Productions in an expose entitled Hidden Hands Behind the Scenes that focused on the music contracting business. Gemini Music Productions was described as "the newest and hottest management group to be seen in years" in the music contracting field. Gemini Music Productions plucks its musicians from the tremendous talent pool that exists in the New York City area. Musicians who perform in the orchestra pits of Broadway, on the stages of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, in the hottest Jazz clubs in New York, and as contributing members in some of the most prestigious musical ensembles in the world.
